As a certified TLG teacher you run your own business, set your own hours and work as much or as little as you wish. If you are a center you may offer TLG classes at your business.We provide the training, support and materials that will empower you to succeed. Our music is extraordinary and fun, our training is comprehensive and web-based, our curriculum is outstanding and interactive and our marketing tools are pragmatic and effective. Here are the qualities we are looking for in our teachers: •Fun, silly, caring and energetic personality •Basic music competence -- you don't need to play an instrument (though that is a bonus), but you must be able to keep a pitch and basic rhythms•Professional attitude •Experience working with young children•A can-do entrepreneurial philosophy Can I be hired by TLG? No, as a TLG teacher you work for yourself. We provide the curriculum, materials, training and support.Will you train me? Yes, we have created and are constantly improving our on-line training system. You also may come to Atlanta and take our in-person full day training offered three to four times each year. What is the cost of training? A full day training is $100 dollars. Unlimited and comprehensive online training is available at $9 dollars per month. How much does it cost to teach TLG classes? You have two choices: Option A) Standard Material/Student Fee: Teacher pays $25 per student each session (required for every student, TLG provides a CD for every student)Option B) Center or Teacher Fee (The Nice Price)$45 dollars per month for a center or teacher. This includes: An unlimited number of studentsNo material fee per/studentCenter/teacher may purchase materials wholesale 1) $7.5 dollars per cd 2) $3 dollars per downloadCenter may give CD/download to students or sell them to studentsIncludes training fees Includes teacher web access for training, templates, materialsAutomatic monthly billingLearn more by reading our "The Nice Price" Write UpHow much will I earn as a TLG teacher? This depends on a few variables. These include how much you charge your clients, how much you pay in rent and how many students you have. However, if you charge $160 per student for a ten week program, pay an average of $30 an hour for rent and have around ten students per class then you will make over $100 per hour or over $1000 dollars for a ten week class. The more classes you teach the more you earn. What kind of experience do want your teachers to have? There is no formula for who teaches TLG classes. However, we do see that this is the perfect part time work for certain professionals. This includes. Actors and musicians who tend to work in the evenings and have their days free Musically talented parents whose kids are in school Teachers who used music in their classroomDo you have territories? No. In Atlanta we have many teachers sharing geographic areas and it is fine. In fact, it has many positives. We substitute for each other and recommend each others classes. Mr. Eric and Mr. Michael both practice and encourage a spirit of cooperation. Is it quick and easy to teach TLG classes and earn money? No, it is a highly skilled profession. It takes a quality professional with good music, teaching, business and people skills. It requires training and practice. However, this is why you can earn over $100 an hour. We can provide you with the training and materials and support to make this happen. You can have an amazing, lucrative and rewarding business up and running within a year if you are dedicated and talented. We can help you make this happen. Are there start up costs? Yes, but they are very reasonable. You must purchase your own instruments. Also, you may have some minor expenses if you choose to create business cards and flyers. How much do instruments cost and where do I buy them? You may purchase them anywhere you wish. However, we will provide you with a list of the places we have found to have the best prices and quality. It will cost around $300 to $400 to purchase your basic instrument set.Do you provide a web page? We provide TLG templates, pictures, graphics and training on how to build your own professional looking google or wix website (both are free).Do you provide an online student registration systems? We provide TLG templates and training on how to simply create a registration system using google docs and paypal that is simply placed on your website. This is the system we use and it is effective, attractive and free. Our music: Today's childrens music is well written, well produced, diverse and enjoyed by kids and parents alike. Our Music raises the bar on parent and child enrichment programs. You will have the option for in person training as well as unlimited access to comprehensive web trainingOur Vibe/Brand: The Learning Groove is hip and fun for children and parents. The Nice Price monthly fee is an amazing offer for centers or teachers who would like to lower their cost and decrease administrative time. Here is how it works. We charge a basic monthly fee of $45 per month to be an active TLG teacher or center. That is it. You may have as many students as you wish. You do not have to purchase our materials. THIS IS THE KEY - NO STUDENT OR MATERIAL FEES. Other companies charge $30 or more for materials per student every session. The more students you have the more you pay. We can do better. We can do this because we provide coloring books, lyrics & eventually videos online for free. May I or my parents buy the music? Yes! - it is much more professional and educationally beneficial for your students to have the music for each session. It also helps retain students. We make the music available to you wholesale. You have three choices. 1. Ask your parents to go online and purchase the music CD themselves. They will pay regular retail prices at $15 per CD or $10 per CD download. This saves you time in ordering & distributing CDs. 2. You may purchase the CDs or downloads at wholesale and give them to your students as part of their tuition. 3. You may purchase the CDs or downloads wholesale and sell them to your students at what ever price you choose. What is the cost of the materials? You have the option to purchase the music at wholesale prices:CDs: 5 for $50 CDs: 10 for $75MP3s: 10 downloads or more for three dollars per/download What you get for the $45 monthly fee:An unlimited number of studentsNo material fee per studentCenter/teacher may purchase materials wholesale Automatic monthly billing Our curriculum for all six CDsThe right to use our name & logo in your marketing & on your website. What is my cost? Your cost is the same, $45 basic monthly fee. You may have as many students as you wish. You may provide materials for you students. You may purchase these at wholesale rates. I own several enrichment centers and wish to offer classes at all of them. What is my rate? The rate is $45 per center.I am a teacher and I wish to teach in many different locations. Do I pay per location? No, as an individual teacher you pay $45 per month total. You may work in as many locations as you wish. How does this compare to other parent child companies? If you have over 6 students a session this is an amazing offer. We provide a higher quality of music, materials and curriculum at a lower price. And, there is less time consuming record keeping. Also, the more students you have the better a deal it is because the basic rate stays the same.
