Mr. Michael and Mr. Eric
The Learning Groove is created and presented by Mr. Eric and Mr. Michael, award-winning performers, music producers and educators. Mr. Eric and Mr. Michael have over twenty years of experience in early childhood music and education. Mr. Eric (AKA Eric Litwin)is a guitar-strumming, song-singing, banjo-picking, tale-telling, song-writing, five time national-award-winning, two-hundred-performances-a-year-giving, CD-producing, folksy fun type of guy. Eric holds two masters degrees including an MA in education. He is also a popular member of Young Audiences at Woodruff Arts Center and has given keynotes across the country on music in the classroom. Mr. Eric has produced two award-winning children’s CDs, “Smile at Your Neighbor” and “The Big Silly,” and his first picture book, “Pete the Cat, I Love My White Shoes,” was published in July 2008. He has over fifteen years experience as a song leader and music teacher at schools, camps and music programs. After graduating from the University of Virginia with a B.A. in Music in 1994, he spent several years as a singer-songwriter, opening for such acts as Dave Matthews Band, Counting Crows, Joe Walsh, and many more. Mr. Michael is also a popular performer with Young Audiences at Woodruff Arts Center. He is an exceptional teacher trainer as well as a national-award-winning record producer of children’s music.
