Alouette
Traditional, adapted by Eric Litwin and Michael Levine

Lyrics:

Alouette gentille alouette,

aloutte je te plumerai;
I can shake it on my head, (I can shake it on my head,)
On my head (on my head)
Ahhhhh...

Alouette gentille alouette,
aloutte je te plumerai;
I can shake it on my knees, (I can shake it on my knees)
On my knees (on my knees)
On my head (on my head)
Ahhhhh...

Alouette gentille alouette,
aloutte je te plumerai;
I can shake it on my toes, (I can shake it on my toes)
On my toes (on my toes)
On my knees (on my knees)
On my head (on my head)
Ahhhhh...

Alouette gentille alouette,
aloutte je te plumerai;
I can shake it on my belly, (I can shake it on my belly)
On my belly (on my belly)
On my toes (on my toes)
On my knees (on my knees)
On my head (on my head)
Ahhhhh...

Activities:

Egg Song: Shake the shaker egg to the beat as you sing, and then shake iton each body part as you say it. You can take suggestions between verses for a new body part to shake on, and then try to remember the order and go backwards at the end of each verse in typical chain song style. During “ahhh” you can shake the egg in the air rapidly and/ or raise your egg & let it fall slowly down.
