Activities:   
 

Call & Response:  Pat your knees to the beat and sing each verse.  Have your child echo each line after you.  Take suggestions for two favorite foods to sing about in each verse.

Make Eating Fun: This is a good one to sing while eating meals with your child.  Sing about each food item on his/her plate.

Stretchy Band:  If you have a stretchy band and at least a small group of people, shake the band to the beat during the verses.  In between each verse, lean back (stretching the band out) and say, “yum!”

Barbershop Quartet: This is a good opportunity to introduce the style of music known as “barbershop quartet” to your child.  Listen to the song on the CD pointing out the different voice parts and find other examples of barbershop quartet-style music to play for your child.  See if they can pick out a harmony.
