Activities:
Direction Dance: Stand up and either play the CD or sing a cappella. Clap to the beat while singing. For hands (manos) clap 3 times, for feet (pies) stomp 3 times, for mouth (boca) say “la la la” while pointing to your mouth and for waist (cintura) twist your hips back and forth 3 times. Sing in Spanish and English!
Geography: Use this opportunity to teach your child about geography. Find a world map and point out different countries in which Spanish is spoken, such as Spain, Mexico, and in South and Central America.
Anatomy/ Color in the Picture: Color the picture of “Mi Cuerpo Hace Musica” in the coloring page, using this opportunity to teach your child about anatomy by pointing to different parts of the body on the coloring page or have them color in just the hands, feet, mouth and waist, as depicted in the song.
