Activities:   
 

Make Up Your Own Story:  This is a fun, creative chain song where you can take suggestions for what is needed next.  Sing the song a cappella (no CD) and let your child or class suggest the next thing that is needed.  Who knows what will happen?!

Parachute:  If you have a parachute and at least a small group of people, have everyone stand in a circle and hold the parachute, shaking it up and down to the beat during the verses.  During the choruses, raise the parachute up every time you say “Rise up!”  

Stretchy Band:  If you have a stretchy band and at least a small group of people, this is similar to the parachute activity, except the group can sit and shake the stretchy band to the beat while singing.  During the choruses, lean back and raise the stretchy band up every time you say “Rise up!”

Instrument Play: If you have any children’s instruments at home, you can also do this song with instruments and let your child try to play an instrument to the beat while singing.
