The first funky chicken said bok bok bok  

(flap elbows like chicken wings & bop your head) 

The second funky chicken said it's time to rock  

(rock back & forth to the beat) 

The third funky chicken started pecking some wheat  

(pretend you’re pecking with your “beak” to the beat) 

The fourth funky chicken started tapping his feet 

(tap your feet to the beat) 

The fifth funky chicken started flapping her wings 

(flap elbows like chicken wings) 

And all the funky chickens start to dance & sing 

(dance!) 

 

Rhythm Patterns 

 

The sixth funky chicken started bopping her head 

(bop your head forwards & backwards to the beat) 

The seventh funky chicken laid a golden egg  

(stiffen and say, “bekah!” after this line) 

The eighth funky chicken said yes we're rich  

(hand motion pulling down while saying, “Yes!”) 

The ninth funky chicken had a nervous twitch 

(twitch/ shake nervously) 

The tenth funky chicken started flapping her wings 

(flap elbows like chicken wings) 

And all the funky chickens start to dance & sing 

(dance!)
